I am interested in a wide range of activities related to the optical properties of condensed matter systems and the physics of non-Fermi liquids. In most cases, I try to obtain analytical results that can help establish the relationship between physical observables and a minimal set of system parameters. I primarily rely on standard techniques in optics, many-body physics, and quantum field theory, using numerical methods as needed. The topics of interest are: linear and nonlinear optical response of condensed matter systems, such as topological semi-metals, metamaterials, quantum Hall systems, non-Fermi liquids and superconductors.
Ongoing project: Topological quantum optics and spectroscopy with meta-surfaces.
